“Art is the interplay between the conscious and unconscious part of our being, between what is real and what is an illusion; it is the voice of our soul through color and form in a constant search for connection with something beyond.” -- Rudolph Steiner (1861-1925)

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am a surrealist professional painter living and working in Chicago. My career as a painter began during the 70’s under a backdrop of political, social and economic turmoil in my native country. Painting has been my refuge.

Influenced by the work of surrealists, symbolists and the seminal ideas of psychoanalysis, my art work attempts to unveil the unconscious, the spiritual, and the mystical through the art-making process. I mostly work in series.

I have an M.Ed. (1978) from my native country and earned an M.A. in Art Therapy (1988) from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I am currently completing my doctoral dissertation on the contributions of art-making to traditional verbal psychotherapy treatment of adults.

I work out of my studio at the Chicago Fine Arts Building.
